Christmas Special: Book Suggestions

Some Christmassy book suggestions for the silly season!

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

A classic, I haven’t read it (sorry!), but it’s one that I highly suggest for this season.

Amazon Kindle: *FREE*

The Nutcracker by E.T.A Hoffman

Okay, again I haven’t read this one but ever since I saw the classic ballet as a child I have loved this story! I’ve read parts of the book, but not the whole thing.  For the past five years I’ve watched the ballet (online) on Christmas Eve, it’s my tradition.  It’s a beautiful story and I highly suggest it.

NOTE: It can be hard to read as it is an old book that uses some oldish phrases.

Amazon Kindle: $1.13 (AUD)

How The Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss

Do I even need to say anything?  This may be  children’s book but it is also a classic Christmas story, and how can you not love Cindy Lou-Who?

The Book Depository: $11.24 (AUD)

North Pole High by Candace Jane Kringle

This looks like an adorable story, it’s a teen fiction about sixteen year old Candycane Claus daughter to the famous Santa – need I say more?  I do?  Her love interest is a bad boy who hates Christmas.  Gotta love that, huh?

Amazon Kindle: $4.07 (AUD)

My True Love Gave To Me – Collection of Twelve Short Stories

A collection of twelve Christmas YA stories.  Such fun!

Amazon Kindle: $9.99 (AUD)

Sweet Inspiration by Penny Watson

This is such a cute book, I’m about half way through! What if Santa had five sons who helped him run the empire?  This is the first book in the series and looks at Nicholas, the eldest, and a master pastry chef who falls in love with Lucy Brewster a small business owner to ‘Sweet Inspiration’ a bakery cafe.  It’s an adult book but it is super adorable!

Amazon Kindle: $3.71 (AUD)

Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle

A collection of intertwined stories for the holiday season.

Amazon Kindle: $9.36 (AUD)

No Ordinary Star by M.C Frank

This is a futuristic novel about time where Christmas, among other things, is obsolete and a Clock is what keeps the fragile balance of peace.

Amazon Kindle: $4.26 (AUD)
