Valentine’s Day Special: Top Five Romances

First of all, Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone, single or lovers! In today’s post I’m going to be looking at my personal top five romances, now I’m going to do this in two parts, so technically there’s going to be ten books mentioned.  The first five will be my favorite OTPs the second will be my top five romance novels.

VALENTINES #3

Top Five OTP’s

These are classified by characters that I want to keep reading about, I could re-read these books over and over just to read about these characters together.  They may not be from my favorite series’ or even be my favorite characters but together they make magic.

Daety/Daemonaty/Kaemon from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I have always loved their relationship, while Pride and Prejudice set the scene for love/hate relationships I can simply never get enough of Katy and Daemon together! There is always so much sexual tension between them and because of all the alien mojo sparks literally fly when they’re together, I love it!

Percabeth from the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series’ by Rick Riordan

Percy literally fell into Hell because he wouldn’t let go of Annabeth again, the queen of the gods stole his memories but he still remembered her, they’ve grown up together, fight best together, and are literally the best couple in existence!

Trabby from the Beautiful Disaster series by Jamie McGuire

Travis and Abby are something else, but there’s just something so appealing about their messed up relationship.

Gigi and David from The Specialists by Shannon Greenland

While romance isn’t the main genre in this series I just loved reading about Gigi and David’s growing relationship – it took a while but I just loved them together.  It’s such a sweet relationship.

Maxerica from The Selection series by Kiera Cass

I don’t know, I just really like America and Maxon together. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, probably because of their initial introduction and their ending.

CLOSE RUNNER UP:

Fourtris from the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth

I loved them together so much so it’s understandable the ending of the third book makes it so it doesn’t end up on my list.  Sorry Four and Tris, I still love you both though!

Top Five Romance Novels

This section is categorised based on romance novels that have stuck with me as romance novels.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Do I really need to say anything about this one?  It’s a classic and utter perfection.

Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan

Gah, I just loved the story and dynamic and how everything played out in this beautiful novel. Such a beautiful love story.

Last to Know by Micalea Smeltzer

This is a young adult book, but don’t let that be a deterrent.  It’s a beautiful love story about a man who wants to be seen for who is is on the inside not who he is to his fans.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith

I wrote a review for this book a really long time ago, for this post I revisited that review and skim read it, and I was 100% reminded why I thought it was such an amazing love story.  One of my favorite quotes is still:

“People who meet in airports are seventy-two percent more likely to fall for each other than people who meet anywhere else.”

Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase

A modern royal romance? Yes please, always.
