Wrap Up: October 2016

The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld #1) by Gena Showalter – ★★★ – Adult Fantasy Paranormal Romance

Pleasure Unbound (Demonica #1) by Larissa Ione – ★★★★ – Adult Urban Fantasy Paranormal Romance

Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance #1 – Demonica #6) by Larissa Ione – ★★★ – Adult Paranormal Romance

I really should read the full Demonica series then the Lords of Deliverance, after reading the first one (Pleasure Unbound) a lot that happened in this book makes more sense since there are old characters and information established previously.  I just have to decide to commit… So many books, so little time…

Semper Mine (Sons of War #1) by Lizzy Ford – ★★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Military Romance

WANT by Emma Rider – ★★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Sports (MMA) Romance

Saving Liberty by Helena Newbury – ★★★★ – Adult Contemporary Suspense Romance

Before Midnight (Blood Prince #1) by Jennifer Blackstream – ★★ – New Adult/Adult Paranormal Fantasy Fairy Tale Retelling (Cinderella)

Worth It (Forbidden Men #6) by Linda Kage – ★★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Romance

Flukes by Nichole Chase – ★★★★ – Young Adult Paranormal Romance

Defying Her Mafioso (The Vitucci Mafiosos #1) by Terri Anne Browning – ★★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Crime Romance

Heart of the Kraken (Tales from Darjee #1) by A.W. Exley – ★★★ – Young Adult Steampunk Fantasy Paranormal Romance

Ride Hard (Raven Riders #1) by Laura Kaye – ★★ – New Adult Contmporary Suspense Romance

Burning Bond (The Holly Woods Files #6) by Emma Hart – ★★★ – Adult Romantic Mystery Suspense

I did enjoy this book, I’m glad that wretched love triangle has become a line with two dots, I’m SUPER happy with the guy she chose, and I’m glad to hear that the other guys story will be concluded in the final novel coming out in November. But Bek’s voice felt a lot like Noelle’s to me. Just with a larger capability of stepping down and knowing when the fight is no longer hers. I understand that they’re similar characters, and after basically growing up together they would have rubbed off on each other. And maybe it’s just been a while and I’ve forgotten some of Noelle’s voice but yeah, Bek’s voice reminded me of Noelles. That in no way means I didn’t LOVE this book, I will love any books in this series that follow this family and their extras. I do miss Droelle though so I’ll be glad (read: devastated -it’s the final book) to pick up Twined Bond. I simply love Hart’s work with this series. It’s my all time favorite adult series and I really don’t think that could change.

Everybody Falls (Wynter’s Vicious #1) by J.A. Hornbuckle – ★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Music Romance
