wrap up

Wrap Up: December 2016

Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers #1) by Tara Sivec – ★★★★ – Adult Contemporary Humour Romance

Granted I skipped the beginning accidentally and just kept reading and I kind of skimmed over some bits. But I did love this book!

Poison Study (Study #1) by Maria V. Snyder – ★★★★ – Young Adult Paranormal Fantasy Romance

I’ve actually skim-read/half-read the rest of this series.  But I haven’t read them in their entirety.

The Shifter (Healing Wars #1) by Janice Hardy – ★★ – Young Adult Fantasy Adventure

Defiance (Defiance #1) by C.J Redwine – ★★ – Young Adult Dystopian Fantasy Romance

Exquisite Captive (Dark Caravan Cycle #1) by Heather Demetrios – ★★ – Young Adult Paranormal Fantasy Romance – Mythology

Being Brooke by Emma Hart – ★★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Romance

I am consistently impressed with Hart’s writing.  I think she’s quickly become an auto-buy author for me.

Demon Hunter (The Collegium #1) by Jenny Schwartz – ★★ –Adult Urban Fantasy Paranormal Romance

Alaric’s Perfect Mate (Sabar Chronicles #1) by R.E. Butler – ★★ – Adult Urban Paranormal Fantasy Romance

Mystery Man (Dream Man #1) by Kristen Ashley – ★★★ – Adult Contemporary Romance

To Catch A Pirate by Jade Parker – ★★★★ – Young Adult Historical Romance Adventure – Pirates

I watched Sinbad (the movie) and suddenly felt a yearning to read a pirate book.  But honestly a majority of them are either smut or aimed at 12 year old boys.  But this novel, this novel is neither of those things and it was exactly what I wanted.  It was exactly what I wanted from a pirate novel, from a pirate adventure, and I only wish I could find more books like this one.  Although it isn’t highly rated I loved it because I haven’t found anything else that ticks all the boxes of what I expect and want in this sub-genre type (Pirates).

The Jerk Next Door by Komal Kant – ★★★★★ – Contemporary Humour Romance
