This Tag was created by the OwlCrate team for their February box theme ‘Run Away To The Circus’. I’ll link the original video below, be sure to check it out! Also check out my review of the box HERE.
Ring Master: Best Main Character
Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson is my Harry Potter. I’ve grown with him, I’ve seen him mature and become stronger as a person and as a hero and he’s awesome. He’s just my favorite main character.
Trapeze Artists: Favorite Friendship
Okay, so I don’t have many one on one friendships BUT I have two groups I love. The Seven (plus Grover, Mrs O’Leary and Will) from the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan and (even though I haven’t fully read the series) The Lunar Chronicles Gang (Marissa Meyer). Also I really liked Griffin, Carver, Kato and Flynn from A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet.
Juggling: Best Love Triangle
Since I hate/despise love triangles I’m going to answer with My Lady Jane. You know.. Cause it really isn’t a love triangle but it’s brought up. Or maybe I should answer with the original love triangle I encountered, back when it wasn’t as overdone? In which case Katniss, Peeta and Gale from The Hunger Games.
The Big Top: Fantastic World Building
For this I’m going to have to answer with the Books of the Infinite series by R.J Larson. Based on my history with ancient history I felt this was incredibly written and historically accurate. At least in my opinion. It just felt very true and I could envision myself parched in a desert.
Magician: Favorite Magic System
Probably the magic system from the Shadowhunters world. Even though I haven’t read the series in a while. I liked how the Shadowhunters had to use runes and how there were other beings in the world.
Tight Rope Walking: A Book That Kept You on the Edge of Your Seat
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. Need I say more?
Contortionist: Best Plot Twist
Probably Rhysand’s reveal towards the end of A Court of Mist and Fury if I’m being honest. I feel like I guess plot twists way too much. Although the plot twist at the end of The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro? Did not see that coming at all, but I really didn’t like how that played out so I don’t really want to answer with it.
Human Cannonball: A Book with an Explosive Ending
The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan. Still not over that literal cliffhanger. Even if there is another chapter – it was still a shocking and heart wrenching ending.
I challange YOU to do this book tag!
