Wrap Up: August to November 2017

So I’ve odviously been a bit M.I.A I will be more active next year (well that’s the hope) but you can read more about that here.  Today I’ll be sharing all the books I’ve read between August to November of 2017.  I mostly read comics but I’ll be including those in a separate post.

A Promise of Fire (#1 Kingmaker Chronicles) by Amanda Bouchet – ★★★★ – New Adult Fantasy Romance

A Mermaid for Christmas (#1.5 Flukes) by Nichole Chase – ★★★★★ –  Young Adult Paranormal Romance (Mermaids)

Re-read.

Royally Endowed (#3 Royally) by Emma Chase – I forgot to rate it? – New Adult Contemporary Romance

Royally Screwed (#1 Royally) by Emma Chase – ★★★ – New Adult Contemporary Romance

The Diamond Thief (#1 The Diamond Thief) by Sharon Gosling – ★★★★ – Young Adult Fantasy Steampunk Historical Mystery Romance

The Hammer of Thor (#2 Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard) by Rick Riordan – ★★★★ – Middle Grade/Young Adult Fantasy Mythology (Norse) Adventure LGBTQ+

MY REVIEW OF MC SWORD OF SUMMER

It took me a LONG time to get around to reading this, but when I finally did it was such a relief and joy.  I loved the story and characters.  Of course it was Rick Riordan, and I love all his work.

Ship of the Dead (#3 Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard) by Rick Riordan – ★★★ – Middle Grade/Young Adult Fantasy Mythology (Norse) Adventure LGBTQ+

In saying I love all his work, I did find Ship of the Dead to be a bit of a let down.  If I recall I didn’t think there was a big enough climax and it felt a bit rushed.  I might be wrong – it’s been a while since I read it.

Prophet (#1 Books of the Infinite) by R.J Larson – ★★★★★ – Young Adult Christian Fantasy Adventure Romance

MY REVIEW

Re-read.

The Red Pyramid (#1 Kane Chronicles) by Rick Riordan – ★★★ – Middle Grade/Young Adult Fantasy Mythology (Egyptian) Adventure

Re-read.

Miss Fix-It by Emma Hart – ★★★★★ – New Adult/Adult Contemporary Humour Romance

Emma Hart is by far my favorite contemporary NA romance author.  I was anticipating this release and it did not disappoint.  I LOVED it.  Devoured it in one sitting and eagerly await Miss Mechanic. Hart is definitely an auto buy author nowadays – highly recommend if you enjoy romantic comedies.

All In (#3 The Naturals) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes – ★★★ – Young Adult Contemporary Crime Mystery

Something About You (#1 FBI/US Attorney) by Julie James – ★★ – Adult Contemporary Romantic Suspense

Mixed-Up by Emma Hart – ★★★★★ – New Adult/Adult Contemporary Humour Romance

As I said above Hart is one of my favorite authors – I hadn’t read this book yet and was feeling like I needed a bit of crazy romantic humour (with a lot of love/hate relationship trope),  Definitely hit the spot.  Cannot recommend this author enough if you like New Adult/Adult hot romantic comedies.  Love her.
