Air: A Great Book You Picked Up On A Whim.
Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. I wasn’t planning on reading this book, I prefer YA Fantasy over Contemporary. But one day I just picked it up and honestly it probably the best ‘pick up’ book I’ve ever read!
Water: A Genre You Like In Waves. (Sometimes you like it, sometimes you don’t.)
Paranormal. I used to love it, half the books I read had werewolves, vampires, angels and fairies. I still like some adult ones, but it’s definitely a genre I go through phases of. But I don’t think I will ever pick up a YA one, more like Urban Fantasy kind of things… If that makes sense?
Earth: A Book You Consistently Come Back To. (Frequent re-read).
Flukes by Nichole Chase. It’s a YA paranormal book, but it’s one of the only mermaid stories I actually like. It’s short and just such a sweet light read. I actually wish the author had written more books using this mythology. I have a review (a very old one, I might have to re-write it someday soon) you can check it out HERE.
Fire: A Book That Lives Up To The Hype.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I remember a lot of people liked the first book (or loved it), but I also remember a lot of people just not really getting into it. But when A Court of Mist and Fury came out it was like “NO KEEP READING, IT GETS SO MUCH BETTER!“. And those people were 100% correct. A Court of Mist and Fury was everything. It was so spectacular that the hype for the third book became something I’ve never encountered within the book community. Unfortunately A Court of Wings and Ruin just didn’t live up to the standard A Court of Mist and Fury set, but the hype for ACOMAF was definitely substantiated.
I challange YOU to do this tag!
