I didn’t read as many books as I would have liked this month; but I do have a new job so I’m still figuring out my time management. I’m still happy with what I have read and am currently reading.

Combust by K. Bromberg – ★★ – Adult Contemporary Romance
I did skim a few bits but that was no fault of the book, and every fault of my interrupting brother.
So I tried to read Illuminae a few years ago, I thought the mixed media would be appealing to my ADHD. I was wrong. I got through the first interview then put my battleships bookmark in and forgot all about it. After seeing so much wonderful book-talk about Obsidio I decided it was time to try again; boy am I glad I made that decision. Read over a span of 9 hours I devoured Illuminae. I loved the mixed media storytelling, I loved the characters and I loved how my heart was pulled out of my chest and beaten with a wrench. (Excerpt from Goodreads review)
Full review hopefully coming soon (re-reading via audiobook).
Well… My heart is shattered and if it isn’t put back together in the sequel I feel like I might throw a fit of toddler proportions. I plan on re-reading this and writing up a full review, I mean it’s set in ancient Rome and is a re-imagining of Spartacus! The history nerd in me would be ashamed if I didn’t write up a full review.
