The Bookish Box: A Court of Frost and Starlight
The sixth box I ordered dedicated to the release of A Court of Frost and Starlight. I don’t have much to say before I get into this box other than I was disappointed how long it took for them to send it out. I know they tend to ship later, but the book came out beginning of May and I received the box in July. I think they could have timed it better so it coincided more with the release – especially since it didn’t include the book. Now we’ll be starting this a bit different since the box itself wasn’t their normal box and wasn’t much to write home about, and the spoiler card didn’t have anything of interest on the flip side. So we’ll just be jumping straight into the unboxing!
The first item I pulled out is this cauldron candle by Whiskey Diamond Candle Co. and smells like dark plum, black amber and seductive spices. I love how this candle looks, like a little cauldron, unfortunately the scent really isn’t something I’m interested in so I’ll be giving this away. Despite this, I think it looks really good and will be using it in a few photos before passing it on.
This little sticker was designed by @kimcarlika – she also designed the candle’s label. I think this little sticker is adorable. I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s adorable – so cute! I’ve been loving stickers recently, and getting over my fear of placing them (despite putting four on my old laptop that crashed and having to remove them all) so I’m always open to more stickers!
Up next we have this Starfall kit made by The Bookish Shop. It’s a mason jar with holographic cello worms and a small string of fairy lights. I think this is such a great idea and I look forward to using it both as a photo prop and a decoration in my bedroom. Though it did get kind of messy when I was putting the fairy lights in :P.
The feature item in The Bookish Box’s are their t-shirt designs. I admit I could have ironed this shirt out before taking the photo, but I didn’t realise until I was editing the photos how crinkled it is. But the shirt itself is wonderful! I love the design, quote and the fabric is really soft! I’ve gotten a lot of wear out of their shirt from this unboxing so I know I’ll get just as much, if not more, out of this one!
Next up we have an item from one of my favourite bookish shops; Ink & Wonder. I think this enamel pin is epic and the little things that hold the pin in place are really sturdy and though I haven’t tested it yet, I think it’ll be really reliable!
Up next we have this sweet little Night Court ring made by The Bookish Shop, it’s adjustable so it fits well even with my stumpy little fingers, and I love how it’s subtle. To others it just looks like mountain ranges – I love it!
Up next we have this Book Beau book sleeve, I love the design of this sleeve and how sturdy it feels! This is also my first official Book Beau so that’s exciting! I’m very happy to have this, even though I have quite a few now I’ve been using them all on a rotation and finding which ones I prefer so I’m looking forward to seeing how this one stacks up when compared to the rest!
And lastly we have this Feyre & Rhysand art print and Nesta and Cassian bookmark by Gabriella Bujdoso. I love this art print, it’s stunning and I look forward to using the bookmark as a prop when Nesta and Cassian’s book comes out!
I really enjoyed this box! I love the shirt, the book sleeve, the Starfall mason jar and the art print – really I just love everything in this box! I’m very glad I ordered it! It’s definitely up there with my favourite boxes I’ve ordered for the A Court of Frost and Starlight release and despite some of the issues I’ve seen from their company online I will continue to order their special edition boxes for releases I’m looking forward too!
