The dumbest thing I do (book related, if it was general then we’d be here a long time) is set myself a TBR. I don’t work well with TBR’s… I’m a mood-reader. But I’ve been wanting to push myself out of my comfort zone a little bit, so when I saw Romance-opoly I thought it could work. Since the ‘TBR’ is more of a prompt rather than a specific book I thought it might work well and allow enough wiggle-room that my brain will go with it. If you want to read more about Romance-opoly check out the website HERE.
So I don’t know if I’m doing this right, but I’m going to do it the way I think will work best for me. Before we go on I should say that there are two different packs (Sun and Moon) you can use to go around the board which feature different prompts. I have chosen to combine the two packs, either switching one for the other, or keeping both, to allow more wiggle-room and personalisation for my personal reading tastes. I want to push myself out of my comfort zone but I know pushing too far will just make me lose interest. So this post is my “TBR” for January (yes I’m 10 days behind, I’m lazy. This is a well-known fact). I won’t be saying the books I have marked down as potential reads, rather the prompts I rolled for. I rolled 4 times so I have four prompts, two of which I have two different cards for. At the end of the month instead of doing a full Wrap Up (though I still may do that) I’ll do a Romance-opoly Wrap Up where I discuss the books I chose and what I thought. So… Here’s my January Romance-opoly TBR!
Passion Place: Read an erotic romance with a menage or reverse harem/read an erotic BDSM romance.
Burger Joint: Read a book on our book girlfriend/boyfriend list.
The Vault: Read the PNR that has been on your TBR the longest. If you don’t have any PNR on your TBR, pick a book from any of our PNR recommendations.
The Gym: Do some weight-lifting… read the longest book on your TBR./Read a book that has a bangin’ body or gorgeously dressed person on the cover.
So there we have it. Check back in at the end of the month to see which books I chose, which ones I actually managed to read and what I thought of them!
