OUTLANDER: Book three of Caitrionna Balfé’s sci-fantasy series OUTLANDERS, the first in a planned trilogy, will be released in May, The Washington Times reported Tuesday.
Balfe is the author of the best-selling series OUTLAW, which will be published by HarperCollins in May.
The book, which has sold more than 50 million copies, centers on the adventures of Caitlin, a young woman in search of her lost daughter, and her search for her missing husband.
The series will star Claire Danes, Caitlin’s daughter and the show’s main character, played by Danes.
Baldwin said the series will take place in the distant future, where Earth is still largely habitable, and will take on an even darker tone than the novels.
Balfès previously said the novels would be set in the year 2021.
Outlander: Book 3 will be written by Caitrions Caitrione Balfere and drawn by Caitlin Ginn.
The second novel, titled OUTLANDED, will follow Caitrianna and her new husband, Tom, as they search for their daughter, Claire.
The new series will be the fourth in a series of seven novels.
The book series will center on Claire Danys search for the daughter, a lost woman in the Arctic.
The books will focus on Caitrina’s struggle with the loss of her husband and her quest for the truth about her past, according to the New York Times.
