RTE’s Irish Times Book of the Week feature, which was announced in November, is looking to identify the most popular and most read books in Ireland for the past year.RTE’s book of the week feature was launched as part of the Irish Independent’s annual ‘Irish Book of The Week’ competition.
The book of days was announced on the same day as the publication of the ‘Irish Times Book’ in January.
The competition aims to highlight books which are most relevant to readers and to promote the reading habits of readers in Ireland.
To be eligible for the competition, books must be published in Ireland, be Irish or published between January 1 and March 31, 2019.RTFs will be nominated from a list of authors, publishers and publishers’ representatives.
The list of nominees will be published on the ‘Ireland’s best Irish book of this year’ website at the end of the year.
The book of weeks is being chosen for its impact on readers and the book of years, with the winner announced on Monday.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday at 11am.
